Little Town, It's a Quiet Village: Cooperstown!

Thursday, June 01, 2006

Firstly, I hope everyone can appreciate the Beauty and the Beast reference embedded (well I suppose it's not embedded, more like showcased) in the title of my new, baby blog.

*cue Belle* Little town, it's a quiet village, everyday like the one before . . . Little town, full of little people . . .

This blog will be dedicated to my stay in Cooperstown over the summer months, where I will be interning at Glimmerglass Opera (www.glimmerglass.org) as a trusty photo intern. Cooperstown is named after James Fenimore Cooper's father. I think that's rather swell, though I'm not a fan of his novels.

This week's mission: Pack and conquer!
Date of departure yet to be determined.

I went to the doctor this morning to have bloodwork done; I suspect a food allergy. I've been temporarily diagnosed as having gastronial/gastronal/? something or other, but I'm pretty sure an allergy is at work. I hope it's all figured out soon before I leave.

Check back soon, loves. And go watch Beauty and the Beast. The Disney and the Cocteau version.

There must be more than this provincial life.
